The above is a picture of the Trishuli River and below, that’s our very own Bagmati. I took the picture today, while cycling through the city. It reminded me of Vibha Galhortra’s paintings titled ‘Sediment’. She used water (or once water) taken out of the Yamuna River in India to create her paintings. I had stared at her works in disbelief when they were exhibited at the Kathmandu International Art Festival last year. They were grim and chilling, but I only truly experienced her works today. I feel guilty for being a part of this city.
