The Kite

The Kite – as if it has a mind of its own –
Seeks freedom in vain
From the hand that lets it fly to the sky
Until in an entangle with another of its kind
The string is cut
And the wind takes it away
To an unknown destination,
Perhaps to a tree,
Perhaps to another hand.
