learning to paint

one of my many incomplete one-sitting paintings. this one was made while i was an intern at the museum of fine arts in boston. the perks of being an unpaid intern was being able to take summer classes. it was the best summer abroad for me. i was painting and drawing when i wasn’t working.

the figure painting classes were held in the evenings and the drawing..it was a lot of fun because we met at different locations of the city each time. and drew sitting outdoors..and sometimes the rain would be a bummer. from parks and cemeteries to museums and art centers…i learnt a lot that summer.

here’s a painting i did during the figure painting sessions…which were like two hours long i think. never completed any of the oil paintings…one because i used tiny paint brushes and two i was just slow, i guess. :-P
